Privacy Policy
My Privacy Policy
(In plain English)
This short and sweet document is a description of how your personal information is collected and used when you visit my website. If you’re not interested in reading the entire page, here’s a summary: if you provide an email, it’ll be used to contact you and/or add you to my email list. Your information won’t be shared with outside parties.
I also limit tracking as much as possible. Rest assured, there’s no all-seeing eye here (except for Google. Google is always watching).
The longer version:
Tracking:
Google Analytics and WordPress collect information about your device, browser, IP address, and time zone. They also collect information about your activity on this specific website (I can see where you go and when with tbfontil.com, but I can’t attribute it to you and the tracking stops when you leave my website).
How I use your information:
I use the data from Google Analytics to figure out what content you, my audience, wants to see.
When you fill out a contact form, you share your personal name, email address, and other identifying information with me. None of those details will be shared with others without prior approval. I’ll only use your information to get in contact with you. For our purposes, contact means directly messaging you or sending you materials via email if you signed up for my mailing list.
How to opt out:
While you can’t opt out of everything, you can opt-out of a few things. The links below are all opt-out links.
Google: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/anonymous
Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptoutDigital
Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal: http://optout.aboutads.info
Legal, Schmegal:
I highly doubt law enforcement will be coming to me to ask for your information. In the event that they do, I’ll share any subpoenaed information when I’m legally obligated to.
For the folks across the pond (and anyone, really):
You have a right to access any information I have on you. If you’re seeking it, contact me. Due to the nature of my site, it’s likely to be minimal.
Contact:
I’d make a joke about sending me a message via pigeon, but legally, I can’t. So. You can email me at: trace@tbfontil.com or use my contact form.
